Even though each person's cancer journey is different, we can have the same hope when God is holding our hand. "For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee" (Isaiah 41:13).  There may be many things that cause us to fear as we continue this walk on the cancer journey, but if we remember that Jesus is walking with us to help us, we can let fear be replaced with hope.
There is a beautiful Christmas song sung by The Hoppers titled, "Hope Has Hands." Since Jesus appeared on earth taking on the form of a man, he demonstrated using his hands to reach out and help people.  When Peter began to walk on water and to became afraid, he yelled out, "Lord, save me."  "Immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand and  caught him..." (Matthew 14: 31).  When you struggle and feel overwhelmed with waves of fear, call out to Jesus, and he will stretch forth his hand and help you.
Please join us for more words of hope on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, for our next Oasis of Hope Christian Cancer Support Group meeting at  7:00 P.M.  We look forward to you joining us for our first meeting in the new year.
